Jessica Simpson Reveals Ashton Kutcher’s One-Word Response to Learning She Was a Virgin at 22
Jessica Simpson didn’t find sex to be irresistible during her early 20s.
After all, the “With You” singer was still a virgin when she was 22—a fact that surprised Ashton Kutcher, who she romanced onscreen during a guest spot on the fifth season of That ’70s Show in the early aughts.
“l’ll never forget telling Ashton I was a virgin,” Jessica said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “He was like, ‘Why?'”
And for the now-45-year-old, it all had to do with finding Mr. Right at the time.
“‘Because I haven’t met my husband yet,'” Jessica recalled explaining to Ashton. “At this age, I’m very innocent. I’m not thinking about other people and their sex lives at all.”
As for why Jessica was so candid about her virginity? “I’ve always been open,” she noted. “Legs crossed, but open.”
Indeed, the fashion designer waited until marriage, when she and Nick Lachey tied the knot in 2002. As she recounted to Blender magazine in 2003, “It was the most amazing moment of my life.”
