Kayla Vesia is checking in following an unimaginable loss.
After she and husband Alex Vesia shared Nov. 7 that their baby girl Sterling Sol Vesia had died, Kayla opened up for the first time about the couple’s grieving process.
“You know, I don’t have much to say, honestly,” Kayla, 29, began the Jan. 2 TikTok video. “Alex and I are trying to get through it every day. Every day is so different for us, and I don’t really have the words.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers player and influencer shared the news of their baby’s Oct. 26 death in a joint Instagram post, noting the “pain” of losing their daughter. Looking back on the heartbreaking ordeal, Kayla shared that she’s still in disbelief.
“I was prepared for whatever was going to happen,” she shared later in the video through tears. “I wasn’t prepared for not taking my baby home.”
But even in the face of tragedy, Kayla is grateful for the outpouring of support, including from her husband’s teammates.
