Caleb McLaughlin‘s ending for Lucas Sinclair is an 11/10.
One month after Stranger Things concluded its fifth and final season, the actor detailed where he believes his character and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) would be after the divisive finale.
“I do hope that Lucas and Max stay together forever,” Caleb exclusively told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the Los Angeles premiere of GOAT on Feb. 6. “That’s an iconic love story, so I hope the best for them.”
While Max believes that there’s more to life than stupid boys, Caleb knows that Lucas is grateful that he’s a part of hers. And the 24-year-old feels the same about the Netflix series.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Caleb admitted of the finale, “10 years being on the show. I love everyone.”
And he’s not alone in thinking Max and Lucas had a happy ending.
In fact, co-creator Matt Duffer believes that the couple can overcome anything after Lucas waited nearly two years for his girlfriend to come out of the trance Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) placed her under during the season four finale.
