The company is urging consumers to “check their pantries for any of the listed products and dispose of them.” None of the other flavours of SunChips were impacted, Frito-Lay said in a statement.
A seasoning supplier told the company that an ingredient supplied by a third party “was potentially contaminated with salmonella.” No salmonella was found in the seasoning sent to Frito-Lay, but the company decided to recall specific products out of an “abundance of caution.”
Frito-Lay provided a list, a copy of which can be seen below, with more details about the recalled snacks for consumers to check.

The symptoms of salmonella are wide-ranging, according to Health Canada. Some individuals may not get sick, while others can experience symptoms anywhere from six to 72 hours after exposure. Symptoms include chills, fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and a sudden headache. Symptoms can last from four to seven days.
