No good deed goes unpunished, even when you’re Timothée Chalamet.
The actor made headlines when he arrived to the London premiere of his film A Complete Unknown on an electric Lime bike—going so far as to ride it onto the red carpet itself. But, his decision actually ended up costing him a pretty penny.
“There was a traffic jam,” Timothée said of his “ecological” choice on the French talk show Quotidien. “And I actually wasn’t allowed to park there, and I got a £65 [$79] fine.”
The 29-year-old added that “it’s horrible because it was actually kind of an advert for” the short-term bike rental company, implying that now potential new users know they could be fined for parking their bike in the wrong place.
Not that his trip abroad hasn’t been a world of pure imagination. After all, the Wonka actor was later joined in Paris by girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
