Alexis Mac Allister makes confident prediction for Liverpool’s new signings

Liverpool have been extremely active in the transfer market since winning the Premier League, with Alexis Mac Allister welcoming several new team-mates this summer
Alexis Mac Allister believes Liverpool’s new signings can fire them to even more glory. The Reds have spent almost £300m so far in this window and they’re not stopping yet with forward Alexander Isak in their sights as well as a centre-back.
They’ve smashed the British transfer record to land £116m man Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen while Jeremie Frimpong has also arrived from the same club for £29m They’ve landed forward Hugo Ekitike in a £79m deal from Eintracht Frankfurt while £40m has gone on Milos Kerkez, the left-back they’ve signed from Bournemouth. While the Reds also brought in keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for close to £30m.
Isak is likely to cost north of £120m as well, with Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi one target for the defence as boss Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes build a squad to fight for four trophies. This all comes on the back of the Reds winning the Premier League title last term at a canter and they’re favourites to win No 21 next season.
Mac Allister is currently training with the new recruits who have already joined as they prepare for the new campaign on a tour of the Far East. “It’s amazing,” Mac Allister said about the quality of the squad.
“I think we’ve made great additions to the team, they are showing in every single training [session] how good they are. We are really happy with that.

“Now it’s about knowing the characteristics of the new players, getting used to playing together. I’m pretty sure that this will be a very good season for us.
“They brought new energy, good energy, especially Jeremie! They are always smiling, you can see how happy they are to be here and hopefully they can help us to win more titles.”
Mac Allister won’t feature in Wednesday’s friendly against Yokohama F. Marinos at Nissan Stadium in Japan. But he is hoping to be ready for the start of the season. Liverpool face Crystal Palace in the Community Shield a week on Sunday before they open their Premier League title defence against Bournemouth on Friday August 15.
The Argentina midfielder has struggled through the summer after missing the final two games of last season with a few injury issues. Asked if he expects to be available for the start of the campaign, Mac Allister said: “Yeah, hopefully. That’s the idea.
“As I said, I need to work on my physical shape and get used again to the level of the boys. But I’m feeling really, really good, training with the team and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be fine for the beginning of the season and hopefully for the [Community Shield] as well.”
Mac Allister admits the last few weeks have not been easy as he returns to full training. He added: “It has been a long time, a difficult time because it is never nice to be injured.
“It’s hard to explain [the injury] because it’s not just one spot that you say, ‘OK, we have to focus on this.’ It’s like two or three different things that I’ve been struggling [with] for a couple of months.
“At the end, we found the solution; we have been working a lot in the gym, on my structure. “It’s hard to explain it but as I said, now I’m feeling good and for me that’s the most important thing.”
Keeper Alisson will also miss Wednesday’s friendly as he returned home from Asia due to a personal matter. Joe Gomez returned over the weekend due to an Achilles injury. Luis Diaz is set to be announced as a new Bayern Munich player in the next 24 hours after the Reds agreed a £65m deal to sell him to the German giants.
