Josh Hartnett Hospitalized After Police Car Crash in Canada

Josh Hartnett is on the mend after a car crash in Canada.

The Trap star was briefly hospitalized after a vehicle he was riding in collided with a police patrol car in St. John’s, Newfoundland, his rep confirmed to Page Six.

The incident happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 25, per the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary. While both the SUV—which was driven by an unidentified 59-year-old man—and the patrol car sustained “significant damage,” authorities said the driver and his passenger were hospitalized for “what is believed to be minor injuries,” while the officer involved in the crash was taken to a local medical center as a precaution.

Hartnett was traveling from the set of his upcoming Netflix series, a production source told CBC.

Hartnett’s rep said that the 47-year-old has since been released from the hospital and is back at work.

Production on the project started in early August, according to Netflix. Created by The Umbrella Academy writer Jesse McKeown, the six-episode series centers around a small coastal town terrorized by a mysterious sea creature.
