Man Utd dressing room in Bruno Fernandes transfer plea amid Saudi deadline
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes could be sold this summer amid transfer interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal already making a move for the midfield star
Manchester United players are said to be desperate for Bruno Fernandes to stay at the club as the influential Portugal midfielder continues to be linked with a transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
The Red Devils are expected to consider serious offers for all of their players after the club missed out on the riches of the Champions League courtesy of their failure to win the Europa League in midweek.
And Fernandes, 30, is attracting fresh transfer interest from the Middle East at a time where United need funds to overhaul Ruben Amorim‘s beleaguered squad.
Al Hilal are understood to be willing to pay a huge £100million fee to Manchester United for their captain – and have even given the midfield maestro one week to decide whether or not he wants to join them.
And The Sun claim that the uncertainty over Fernandes’ future has led to a number of stars messaging him to stress how valued he is.

One source even claimed it’s feared the dressing room ‘would fall apart’ were Fernandes to leave, telling the publication: “Bruno may be criticised but the players know what a talent he is. He can be demanding but they all respect him and sent him messages letting him know how valued he is.
“If he leaves, the dressing room would fall apart.”
A crestfallen Fernandes admitted that he could now be sold after United missed out on a golden ticket to next season’s Champions League as a consequence of coming up short in the Europa League final against Tottenham on Wednesday night.

“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it is what it is,” he said.
“And football sometimes is like this. I have always been honest. I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go. I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days.
“In the day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I’ve always said it and I keep my word in the same way.”
