Newsboy’s racing tips for Tuesday’s to meetings, including Uttoxeter Nap

Newsboy believes his Nap, Railway Bell, can hit the right note in the 3.00 at Uttoxeter and he also fancies Lethal Nymph to come good on the all-weather at Newcastle (5.00)

RAILWAY BELL can keep on the right track in the Pektron Handicap Hurdle (3.00) over two miles at Uttoxeter.

Unbeaten in two starts under Rules, last year Fergal O’Brien’s former pointer scored a bumper success at Newton Abbott and followed up with a maiden hurdle victory over course and distance, beating a hot favourite who went on to win next time out.

That was the 403 days ago and the six-year-old has not been seen a racecourse since, but his trainer is more than adept at getting his horses fit and ready run after a long lay-off and the mare can be fully expected to run a big race off a decent mark on her handicap bow.

On the all-weather at Newcastle, LETHAL NYMPH is predicted to turn the tables on re-opposing Dark Cloud Rising in the five-furlong Make The Move To Midnite Handicap (5.00).

Paul Midgley’s five-year-old found himself short of room at a crucial moment a furlong out and was only beaten half a length by his rival over course and distance 19 days ago, having scored a shade comfortably by a length over Gosforth Park’s minimum trip two weeks earlier.

PJ McDonald was in the saddle that day and the jockey takes the mount again this evening.
