Abbey Clancy has opened up about her and husband Peter Crouch’s “separate lives” despite their 14 years of marriage. The Liverpool-born model and the ex-England footballer are a celebrity power couple having met nearly 20 years ago, tying the knot in 2011, and raising four kids together.

In a recent interview with OK!, Clancy gushed over her life with Crouch, including their joint venture hosting the podcast The Therapy Crouch, insisting she “doesn’t need space” from him. However, on an episode of their podcast, Clancy jokingly mentioned how they both enjoy their own hobbies, which seems to be a healthy balance for them. Crouch joined in, stressing that having time apart is key to keeping their relationship strong.

The pair shared a laugh when Crouch talked about his recent golfing experience in the unexpected warm weather, while Clancy had been out horse riding, reports Wales Online.

“I actually played golf the other day and it was like, I took my jumper off and put on the T-shirt,” he said. “For me, that’s groundbreaking. It really is, because I’ve been through some s**t this year. I’ve been out there in f*****g all sorts of weather. And for me to just put that T-shirt on, it’s just phenomenal.”

Clancy couldn’t help but quip: “I can’t listen to this anymore. This golf stuff. We live separate lives now. He goes to golf and I go horse riding, and then we meet at the end.”

But, Crouch chimed in, defending their routine: “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Like, not every day, because we need to do stuff together as well. But I think some part of the week, I think that’s a totally healthy relationship.” Clancy wrapped up the exchange on a high note: “It is, because I’ve never been happier.”

The conversation took a turn towards fitness goals when Clancy opened up about her quest for “a sensational body” this summer. She detailed her horse riding sessions aimed at boosting fitness, especially after a skiing bug had impacted her chest health.

“I ride for like over an hour, just over an hour, because I’m building up my fitness, because since skiing, I had that bug,” she shared. “My chest is still not 100 per cent. And it’s taking time. I need to fit in the gym as well because it’s a different type of fitness. I was doing my bingo wing exercise today.”

Crouch couldn’t resist expressing his amusement, adding: “I caught Ab doing a bingo wing exercise. Would you like to do it? You could do it like Jane Fonda! I caught her doing it, and I said, ‘What’s that?’ And she said, ‘This tones your bingo wings.'”

The model then shared her secret to toned arms, explaining: “So I’ve got this exercise. So you go like, you have to push. You push your arms back. Put your thumbs far down, and you can feel the tension in that muscle.

“And then if you do it the other way, you can feel the tension in your bicep, and it just tightens everything. So if you do that for like 10 minutes, and your arms are on fire…

“You have to push. The improvement in my arms has been incredible. I want to have a sensational body this summer. Because every year, I start my beach body three days before I go away. I want to turn up on it.”

Crouch also chimed in with his fitness regime, mentioning he keeps himself in shape by swimming regularly, but Clancy couldn’t help but tease: “He still hasn’t shown me these shorts that he bought!”
