Tuchel makes ‘easy’ Bellingham admission after England star makes feelings clear

Jude Bellingham returned to England’s starting XI for their final World Cup qualifier against Albania on Sunday evening
Thomas Tuchel has made his feelings clear about Jude Bellingham after the Real Madrid star was named on the bench for England’s World Cup qualifier against Serbia this week. Bellingham returned to the squad this month after missing October’s fixtures but was made to wait for his chance.
On Thursday, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers received the nod ahead of him against Serbia. Looking ahead to next summer’s World Cup, Tuchel has already warned it will be difficult for him to fit all three of Bellingham, Harry Kane and Phil Foden into his set-up.
Tuchel’s remarks indicate that he sees the Bellingham as more of a No.10 than a part of a midfield pivot. Speaking to ITV before England’s game against Albania on Sunday, the German boss said of Bellingham: “Well, he brings quality and I think his unique quality is to show up in the No.9 position for seemingly easy goals.

“He has the timing to arrive in the No.9 and in the six-yard box to be dangerous. We will have a lot of possession and he will play between the lines in the No.10.
“Hopefully he can open up some spaces with dribbling and his offensive one vs ones.”
Bellingham was named in England’s starting XI to face Albania following his absence last month. Addressing the situation at the time, the Birmingham City academy graduate told Amazon Prime: “It’s not my call unfortunately.
“I think you know whose call that is. I’d love to be [back in the squad] but it’s not my call. I’ll be waiting, we’ll have to see.”
Prior to naming his squad for the November international break, Tuchel chose not to watch Bellingham in Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Liverpool at Anfield earlier this month.
