Q: [From Jack Fenwick from the BBC] Are there other countries where you might send foreign offenders? And how much would this cost?

Farage said that some Baltic countries could house foreign prisoners from the UK, like Lithuania and Estonia. But El Salvador had “the most capacity”, he said.

And he claimed building Nightingale prisons (quick, cheap prisons – so-called after the Nightingale hospitals concept) would be “pretty cheap”.

He went on:

And, referring to the jails in El Salvador, Yusuf said:
